Colin Shanley

Colin Shanley is a skilled and experienced spatial analyst. He has spent the past 20 years applying the latest geospatial technology to help answer questions about the environment. He collaborates with a diverse portfolio of clients to explore how maps, spatial data, and modeling can help illuminate long-term solutions. He was previously a GIS Analyst and Conservation Planner for the Alaska Chapter of The Nature Conservancy for 15 years and a Research Associate at the University of Alaska Southeast. He has published numerous scientific research articles in peer-review journals such as Communications Earth & Environment, Forest Ecology & Management, Climatic Change, and Landscape & Urban Planning. He holds a MS in Wildlife Biology from University of Alaska Fairbanks and a BS in Environmental Science from Western Washington University. He lives in Juneau, Alaska with his wife and two growing boys.
